This site describes for potential visitors the Kawela (pronounced Ka-Veil-a) Bay vacation rental home of Geoff and Emerie Auberlen, located three miles from Sunset Beach, on the north shore of Oahu.

Kawela Bay Hawaii is located on the North Shore of Oahu, one bay West of Oahu's northern-most point and three miles East of Sunset Beach (Sunset Beach was immortalized by the Beach Boys in "Surfing USA"). It is very close to Ted's Bakery (the best pies in Hawaii). Charming Haleiwa, about 9 miles away, has some excellent restaurants, surf shops, galleries...and Baywatch was filmed there. Kawela Bay is about 45 minutes from the Honolulu Airport, about 55 minutes from downtown Honolulu.
