Rates
Our vacation rental rate, per night for four or fewer persons, is $185 regularly, $210 Jun-Aug and Dec-Feb; base rate for weeks including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years is $260. Add $25 per night extra apiece for a 5th or 6th person. All Rates plus 11.25% Oahu Hawaii Taxes. In addition we require a $500 deposit to hold your reservation, out of which cleaning charges ($120 plus taxes) and damages, if any, are paid; the deposit is otherwise refundable after your stay. Minimum stay is 7 nights, generally.
Payment is due as follows: $500 (security plus cleaning) at time of booking; one-half the rent (and taxes) within ten days after we confirm your booking, the second half at least four weeks prior to arrival. We will provide you the gate and lockbox combinations after we receive your full payment.
If you cancel your vacation rental in whole or part we will refund money to you only after and to the extent that another pays rental to us for the days you were booked to stay.
Rules for rental house Guests
The gate and lock box combinations will be communicated to you before arrival, with additional information. The vacation rental house is furnished and supplied with games, books, stereo, 2 TVs (70 cable stations), 2 DVD players, VCR, beach toys, frisbees, croquet, and the like. Please leave these in as good condition as you found them.
Park only on the gravel area. There is a lock box on the porch which contains keys to the house and the beach gates. They go back in the lock box when you are done. Beach keys are regulated and especially costly. If house keys are not returned, we reserve the right to charge your security deposit the cost of re-keying all door locks.
Once you have found the house, relax, have fun, but also take care. Avoid making noises on a level that might bother any neighbors. Let neighbors know who ask that you are Geoff and Emerie's friends.
No shoes or smoking in the house. Use the outdoor shower to wash off sand and salt. Don't drip and be careful moving furniture on the hardwood floors. The phones allow only local (i.e. all Oahu) and credit card or 800 calls. High speed internet connection is provided and older notebook computer for guest use. Garbage cans get picked up where the driveway meets the road in front of the house on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Please use a plastic garbage can liner. There is recycling if you take stuff to the Sunset Beach School. Lock the beach access gates after you go through them.
Follow washing machine, drier, oven, barbeque and dishwasher instructions. Each bedroom has its own sheets and storage spaces. Please respect the Auberlens' private locking closet. Be careful converting the Queen Emma sofa/futon bed.
When you leave the rental house, leave no perishable food. Leave used beds obviously unmade so cleaning person will be sure to launder and change linens. Lock up doors and windows. Leave keys in the lock box. Check-out no later than 11:00 a.m. Call the number provided to let us know so that the cleaning person can come promptly. |
